1.50 Bangor | Wednesday 13th November 2019

Wednesday's NAP and best bet of day is Commodore in the Anne Duchess of Westminster Memorial Handicap Chase 13:50 at Bangor-On-Dee (9/4 Bet365)

Venetia Williams horses are in fine form at the moment and I think she can enhance that recent run with this horse, as well as others across the Bangor and Exeter cards.

Commodore looked a completely different prospect after he won both of his starts over the bigger obstacles last season. The first was in a Class 4 at Warwick where he jumped well and made all to win by six lengths in the end, beating a subsequent 2x winner since. He then stepped up in class to win a valuable handicap at Sandown with ease after sweeping to the lead three out to win very comfortably Indeed.

He beat a subsequent three-time winner since that meeting, A horse that a few will know – The Bay Birch – which is a rich piece of form.

I feel like with his performances last season and the fact the trainer has put him straight into Class 2 company shows the talented he possesses, and with his favoured three-mile trip, I can see him making it three wins out of three over fences; he is a unknown on the heavy ground, but he does seem the versatile type.

Young jockey I rate very highly, Charlie Deutsch, is onboard and another fantastic bonus; he steered him to victory on his first start last season at Warwick. Charlie being Venetia's main jockey right now will have known this horse very well and I am very sure he will be well prepared for the race.

The yard have two fantastic chances at Bangor and the fact the main jockey has gone to Bangor over Exeter shows how good of a chance the two horses have to win.

Commodore is a horse I am very much looking forward to seeing this season.
