PRO PUNTER Dino Vita (@VitaDino) shares his best bets ahead of Saturday's Scottish Cup final from Hampden Park between Hearts and Celtic.
Hearts v Celtic | Saturday 25th May 2019, 15:00 | Sky Sports
The final weekend of the Scottish season rolls around this weekend with Hearts and Celtic going head-to-head at Hampden for the Scottish Cup.
Neil Lennon took over from Brendon Rodgers at Parkhead in February when the Scottish Cup quarter finals were just starting so this will feel like he has played a part in the Bhoys quest for a unique treble treble.
I think Celtic will win Saturday so I’m looking at a few different angles where there could be some value. One player who has shown all season for the Hoops is SPFL Player of the Season, James Forrest. He has popped up with vital goals for club and country in 2018/19.
Forrest has scored 22 goals the term, including the first goal in the quarter-final and semi-final fixtures, and I’m backing him to score First (6/1 Betfair) and Anytime (11/5 Betfair) again on Saturday.
Another market I’m looking at is bookings. Hearts won’t have much of the ball and I feel their two central midfielders will have a lot of work on their hands. Arnaud Djoum and Peter Haring form that duo and between them they’ve received 18 yellow cards already this campaign. Both players to be booked on Saturday with a Bet365 bet builder pays 11/2.
Celtic go into the final as heavy favourites and rightly so, but it’s a cup final so anything can happen. However, I feel hearts will need to get the first goal or it could end up being a comfortable afternoon for Premiership champions.
Best Bets
Hearts v Celtic – James Forrest to score first (6/1 Betfair)
Hearts v Celtic – James Forrest to score at anytime (11/5 Betfair)
Hearts v Celtic – Arnaud Djoum and Peter Haring to be carded (11/2 Bet365)
