ANOTHER fiendishly difficult handicap race for Graeme Johnston (@GraemeJ_83) to chew over. He's keen.
Cheltenham 16:00 | Stable Plate | Channel 4
A 24 runner 2m 5f Chase and 7/1 the field this is another typically tight festival handicap. Rajdhani Express was third in the Ryanair last season and is a good starting point here. He's not been in the same form since and its almost two years since his last win, so I'm looking elsewhere for a winner.
Monetaire is another Pipe French import and won a good handicap on his second start for the stable. He's of obvious interest, but he's had 10 chase starts and you wonder if he has the improvement in him to win this.
Un Ace is another of interest under AP McCoy after his Doncaster win, but I feel he is too short at 8/1 for a horse that needs to improve and I'm looking elsewhere.
My selection is the Evan Williams trained Buywise. Fifth in the Rewards4racing Novice chase at the Festival last year he then impressively won a course Grade 2 in April. Two hurdles wins either side of a fifth in the Paddy Power Gold Cup, Buywise has a very progressive profile and I see him as another great each way bet at 8/1.
