Cheltenham Tips | 14.10 RSA Chase | C4

THE slog of the RSA Chase is one of the toughest test of the weeks. Graeme Johnston (@GraemeJ_83) gives us his best bets.

RSA Chase | Wednesday 14.10 | Channel 4

A notoriously tough race and favourites tend to struggle here with Don Poli last year a rare positive for fav backers. This looks a good renewal to me and I think there is plenty of value available for punters.

More Of That has been well supported this week and is now favourite and you can understand why. Jonjo O'Neill has had a great start to the meeting and this horse is a previous Festival winner who is unbeaten over fences so far.

Both his victories have come at the course and he will love the ground. I wouldn't put anyone off him but I'm looking for a bigger-priced selection in this and that's the only reason he's not my pick.

No More Heroes has been ante-post favourite for this and Gordon Elliott's inmate is unbeaten over fences in his three starts. He's looked a natural over jumps and comes here with a huge chance.

My main concern for him is that his best form comes on softer ground and he may struggle for pace on spring ground.

Blaklion from the Twisten-Davies yard is not a favourite of mine but he's the sort who will go close here. He is a real dour stayer and if his jumping holds up he could well go close. However I don't trust him and the percentage call is to oppose him.

Roi Des Francs has improved for the switch to chasing and has looked better with every start. He is a progressive young chaser and will be popular in the market as he is a rare opportunity to back a Willie Mullins/ Ruby Walsh mount at a double figure price. However, I feel he is up against it here and I'm against him too.

I'm siding here with the Sandy Thomson trained Seeyouatmidnight (9/1 Ladbrokes). Not a yard known for Festival winners, but the stable star comes here with a huge chance and deserves his place in the field.

A winner of three of his four chase starts he missed his intended prep race at Wetherby in February after winning the Dipper Chase over today's course. He was then seen at Newcastle where though unimpressive he would have needed the run and will be a different proposition here.

He is an uncomplicated front runner who will relish today's trip. I fully expect him to go close and will be backing him each-way here.

I grew up watching Hearts games with my dad and playing football at every opportunity so betting on it was the logical next step! Football coupons became a Saturday ritual and it introduced me into the world of horse racing. I started watching it on a regular basis, and after Galileo's Derby win in 2001 I was hooked. I follow both flat and national hunt racing attending the northern meetings when possible.
