What a difference a year makes eh? Back in late-April last year Liverpool hosted Chelsea with the title at their mercy. We all know what happened then, Liverpool's glory charge was dismantled by the ruthless Chelsea machine and a career-defining stumble by their brilliant captain.

One year on and Liverpool can only daydream of being in such a high-profile game. The Europa League is on their menu next season after a disappointing season while Chelsea bask in the glory of a well-deserved title.

I'll start by saying I don't envisage Chelsea losing this game. Jose Mourinho is a proud man and the thought of losing to Liverpool will make him feel ill.

When you look at their Stamford Bridge record this season that seems unlikely. Figures of P17 W14 D3 L0 are wonderful to look at. You could swoon over those numbers and in normal circumstances Liverpool wouldn't get close to putting a 1 in that L column.

But are these normal circumstances? Chelsea have already won the title and have nothing to play for. Will this affect this game? Looking at previous data it's possible.

After clinching the title in 2004/05 at the Reebok Stadium, Chelsea won two of their remaining three games. Fairly strong. But in 2005/06 the Blues suffered two post-title winning defeats to Blackburn and Newcastle. Iffy.

To be honest though, I don't think Liverpool are capable of beating Chelsea. The oomph and guile has completely gone from their season as one win in four testifies. They're out of the FA Cup and out of the Champions League. Sobering!

The key to profit this season at Stamford Bridge is backing the Unders. Nine of the last 10 league matches at the West London ground have gone Under 2.5 and why should that change today?

Liverpool hardly buck that trend. Three of their last four games went Under 2.5 Goals and indeed five of the last eight encounters also paid out on that wager.
