THE late game on Saturday sees Burnley host Arsenal. Can the London side maintain their unlikley title challenge? Chris Graham (@chrisgraham79) takes a look.
Burnley v Arsenal | Saturday 17:30 | Sky Sports 1
Seven wins in a row. 10 wins out of 11. 15 wins out of 17. Fresh from ripping apart Liverpool last week. Are you feeling the title charge of Arsenal? I'm not.
Let's just stop any nonsense talk like that please. When people start talking like that, the only thing it pre-empts is a Gunners collapse. Even if they win here and Chelsea slip up on Sunday against QPR, I'll be all over Jose Mourinho's side when they meet in a fortnight.
Arsenal are at their most untrustworthy when expectations on the club are high and that's why there's no way I can entertain the best price 8/13 on them winning here.
Marry that alongside Burnley's excellent record at Turf Moor, and the case for dodging them thickens. Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham and Southampton have all failed to win in Burnley this season and backing sides at 8/13 to win there is the route to the poorhouse.
So, what's the angle then? Well there's not much kicking about that grabs me to be honest. I wouldn't be stunned if Burnley got something here but at 6/4 to avoid defeat it's not big enough.
Therefore I find myself careering towards the 8/9 on Burnley +1 on the Asian Hadicap. I'd be surprised if this bet ended up a loser. That would require Sean Dyche's side to lose by more than one goal and that hasn't happened at home since October last year. Just to stipulate, my stake gets returned if they lose by one goal.
And just to quell my urge to side with Burnley in some sense I'll have a small stake on this game ending 1-1 at 8/1 with BetVictor. I'm waiting for the Arsenal collapse and it might just happen on Saturday.
