Matchday 10 brings us an all-claret encounter where the Midlands and London collide as Aston Villa look to bounce back with a win at home after three back-to-back defeats against a confident West Ham side who have delivered seven wins in their last eight across all competitions.

Based on the season so far and the market the visitors are rightly slight favourites for this one but given that both sides are near enough full strength for the encounter I think this one will be a close battle which could end up with it being a share of the spoils.

Whilst Villa are still hungover when it comes to the Grealish departure they haven’t had trouble finding the net, in fact they have scored in 8/9 EPL games this season, with only a trip to Chelsea being the time they failed to score which can be forgiven.

At the other side of the pitch though they are looking vulnerable with 5/9 games seeing them concede 2+ goals, on four of those occasions 3+ goals were conceded with the only positive being most goals were shipped on the road.

West Ham can’t be denied their form, they are organised, they attack well and they get the results for their teamwork. However, like their hosts there is no denying that goals have came round frequently in their league games, 6/9 so far seeing 3+ match goals and both teams scoring and based on both teams looking to grab all three points on Sunday I see the goal trend continuing here.
