ASTON VILLA welcome Leicester to Villa Park on Sunday afternoon. Anthony Olsson (@Ant_olsson93) analyses the encounter.
Aston Villa v Leicester | Sunday 8th December 2019, 14:00 | Sky Sports
Aston Villa host high-flying Leicester on Sunday afternoon looking to bounce back from their midweek defeat at the hands of Chelsea. Villa had been unbeaten in two games before their 2-1 loss and their good performances have been largely inspired by Jack Grealish, who continues his charge towards an England call-up.
The Villans will need Grealish to be at his best again if they are to get anything against a strong Leicester side. Villa are outside the relegation places only on goal difference and their home form has been key to their season so far.
Leicester are currently sitting second and on an eight-game winning streak in all competitions. Brendan Rodgers’ side came from behind to steal all three points against Everton last time out and they’ll fancy their chances of scoring a few against a Villa side who have conceded 24 goals.
One angle I like in this match is for Leicester to win and Over 2.5 Goals at 29/20 (Coral). I mentioned that Villa have conceded 24 goals and Leicester have managed 35 to make them the third-top scorers in the league. Both sides are adventurous in their play and Leicester look relentless right now.
Jamie Vardy is chasing his own goalscoring record and I think he could be well placed to find the back of the net once more on Sunday. Vardy is the focal point of this Foxes attack and he currently has 14 goals in 15 Premier League games this term. I like the look of him to score first at 3/1 (Bet365).
This should be an entertaining game and it’s one that should certainly brighten up Sunday afternoon.
