JACK Milner (@JJMSports) returns with five picks from Saturday's horse racing.

2:10 Gowran Park

It's not been the most fluent of seasons for Champagne Fever but he looks a good thing today in this race. Unlucky to fall in his last race at Thurles, he'll be far too good for his rivals here under Paul Townend. He's one for the multiples at 4/7 with BetVictor.

2:40 Ascot

Clondaw Knight at 100/30 makes lots of appeal for me here. He's been crying out for three miles over fences and the way he won at Wetherby earlier in the year gave me the impression there's lots more to come from this beast. This race looks at his mercy!

3:15 Ascot

Padge was a high-profile expensive purchase recently for his owners and there are big things expected from this horse. He looks well handicapped in this race and with his trainer Evan Williams in superb form he looks a cracking bet at 9/2 with BetVictor.

3:50 Ascot

This Grade 1 Ascot Chase looks wide open. I can't be having the favourite Ptit Zig as he's a novice running in top-class company so it's Balder Succes for me. Alan King's horse has solid form this season and has performed well in some of the key races. He'll thrive on this course and can run a big race at 7/2 with BetVictor.

4:30 Haydock

Wuff looks to have been campaigned very shrewdly by his connections and should thrive here. We haven't actually seen him run for almost a year but Tom George is a master at getting them spot on after a long break. I'm happy to back him at 5/2 with BetVictor.

I started working in the betting industry as a teenager, not necessarily legally, as a son of someone who has been in involved in Huddersfield’s leading independent bookmakers for nearly 35 years. Since then I've moved from Timebox to Coral to BetVictor. A lover of football, cricket, rugby, darts, golf and National Hunt Racing to mention but a few. Talk a good game, punt a dreadful one. You will catch me on the sun-laden astroturf pitches of Gibraltar or in an office watching horses run around a field or golfers hitting balls with a stick, generally with a few bob on both.
