THERE'S league action in Scotland tonight also. We got Chris Graham (@chrisgraham79) to preview the match at Celtic Park.
Celtic v Partick Thistle | Wednesday 19:45
After what's been a fairly enjoyable four months in the Premiership, all Scottish fans have been waiting for the confirmation that Celtic have finally clicked into gear. Probably quite a few fans already think that's happened. I'm not so sure.
Yes, Ronny Delia's side have now won seven domestic games in a row after their horror Hamilton defeat in October, but three of those wins were by the odd goal while three more were severely influenced by their opponents going a man down.
One of the games that was influenced by a red card was their 6-0 thumping of Wednesday's opponents Partick Thistle in the League Cup in late-October. If Thistle had kept 11 men on the field, I'm not suggesting for a minute they would have thwarted Celtic, but it would have been tighter.
Since that defeat, Alan Archibald's side have earned some deserved plaudits. They were unlucky to only draw with Hamilton after conceding with pretty much the last kick of the game, followed that up with a 1-0 win at St Mirren, before a 1-0 loss to Aberdeen and a revenge win over Accies in the Scottish Cup.
After that Hamilton league match, Partick have only conceded one goal in their last three games. They may be down in 9th in the table, but overall Thistle have only leaked 17 league goals. That's the same number as Aberdeen, and just two more than Dundee United.
So that's why I'm going to take a gamble here and back Under 2.5 Goals in this match at a chunky 15/8 with BetVictor. Celtic have scored more than two goals in a league match just once in their last 11 games while Thistle have failed to score in four of their last seven matches. But as always when Celtic are concerned in the SPFL, if they click, they'll win easy.
