Livingston vs Rangers Prediction & Betting Tips

SCOTTISH football aficionado Gerry Taylor (@thefurlongpole) shares his verdict on Sunday's televised Premiership tussle between Livingston and Rangers.

Livingston vs Rangers | Sunday 28th November 2021, 12:00 | Sky Sports

This should be an interesting watch, this lunchtime at the Tony Macaroni. It's Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s first domestic league match as the new Gers boss.

The hosts themselves are on a decent run lately, after a sticky start to the season, the Lions are unbeaten in five. They have also claimed 4/6 points from Celtic in the league, so as they usually do, especially as hosts, I expect them to be very competitive, and to put up a decent showing here.

I’m going to leave the 1X2 markets alone here though. My angle into this one is the likelihood of cards. The two most recent Livingston v Rangers clashes have produced:

  • Livingston 2 yellow cards – Rangers 2 yellow cards
  • Livingston 6 yellow cards – Rangers 2 yellow cards

David Munro is a referee I like, when sniffing out a punt on cards, since June ’21 he has dished out 70 cards in 14 matches – a healthy 5 a game average.

Hence, I am going to speculate that Munro can give both teams three cards here, just as he did in his opening live on TV Premiership match early in August (brandished 8 cards).

It’s priced at 15/2 on the Bet 365 Bet Builder.
