JACK Wright's (@JackWright_BSB) Bet of the Day continues on Friday as we head to Belarus…
Dinamo Minsk vs Rukh Brest | Friday 28th May 2021, 18:10
It’s a top five clash in Eastern Europe as Dinamo Minsk host Rukh Brest in the Vysshaya Liga.
For those not betting this time last year that’s the top flight of Belarus and a league that was a hot bed of corner action!
Rukh Brest was founded in 2016 as an amateur team but in 2018, they re-established themselves as a farm club of Dinamo Brest and joined the Belarusian Second League, which they won in their debut season, and made their Belarusian First League debut in 2019, then ending their partnership with Dinamo Brest and becoming an independent club.
Majorly underrated Kirill Alshevsky’s side were one of my go to’s as a team to get on side in the corner markets and from the opening skirmishes of the 2021 season it would appear not much has changed, hitting the line we are attacking here in three of their last four league games.
Casting our eye back on last season we see that in this fixture Rukh won six flag kicks and to emphasise their proficiency at that particular set piece took seven when the clubs last met in July at Stadyen DASK Brestski.
For a side that finished fourth in the entire division for corners won last season with 165 at an average of 5.5 it was a surprise to see Sky Bet price up the visitors here to have just four or more corners in this one at 10/11 – which makes it a simple selection for Bet of the Day.
