NFL expert Tom Selwyn (@Tom_Selwyn) shares his expert opinion on the best bets available from Monday night's action from Week 12.
Seattle Seahawks @ Philadelphia Eagles | Tuesday 1st December 2020, 01:15 | Sky Sports
We’ve got two of the NFC’s bird teams for this week’s Monday night game in Philadelphia, with the Seahawks and the Eagles going at it. Despite records of 7-3 for Seattle and 3-6-1 for Philadelphia, they both sit in second place in their division thanks to the utter state of the NFC East.
The Seahawks have been the much better team this year and given that the line is, surprisingly, under a TD I’ll be happily taking that – Seattle -5.5 (20/23 Betfred)for me this week.
Despite performing better of late, with Carlos Dunlap coming in and really helping the pass rush, I’m under no illusions that the Eagles do come with the better defence of the two teams, but Seattle’s offense is just so much better than Philadelphia’s dysfunctional unit.
The Seahawks are scoring nearly 10 points more a game and Eagles QB Carson Wentz looks to have badly regressed, making mistakes seemingly every single week, to the point that rookie Jalen Hurts is set to see an increase in snaps in this game.
His counterpart Russell Wilson has had a few rough games since Seattle’s bye week, but has generally been playing at an MVP level this year, despite a bevy of injuries at the RB position limiting the output from that position.
Wilson’s connection with DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett is among the league’s best and Philadelphia should expect to see a heavy dose of passes to the pair of them – the problem is that they’re almost impossible to stop.
The Seahawks are the better team and I expect them to show it.
Best Bets
Seattle Seahawks @ Philadelphia Eagles – Seattle Seahawks -5.5 (20/23 Betfred)
