We’re almost ready for tip-off and I’m bloody excited. Not just for the start of the season but I’ve found a GEM of a bet, so it seems.
Both Orlando Magic's top two players have been given a Player Performance line of 13.5 by Bet365, so I just had to pick one out. Do I take the Shooting Guard or do I go with the Centre?
Nikola Vučević will turn out to be a big name player in a few years and he’s a guy I like a lot. But I’m going to leave him out – it’s not going to be easy to out-rebound Anthony Davis and Omar Asik this evening. Remember, most of Vučević‘s points do come off the board.
So to Tobias Harris, who’s a well above average Shooting Guard. Yes, he doesn’t make too many three-pointers but he can put up plenty of points with that jump-shot of his. He notched up 17 points away at the Pelicans last season and has been averaging 14.5 points in pre-season. What’s more, Harris hit 22 points against a Detroit side who I think are in a similar stance to the Pelicans.
I expect big things from this New Orleans team, if they can keep everyone together, fit and firing and they could even give a few of the bigger teams a run for their money. But on the opening night of the season, that Tobias Harris line stands out, so I’ve just got to back it.
