RACING expert Graeme Johnston (@GraemeJ_83) returns to share his best bets from Day 4 of the 2020 Royal Ascot festival.
Commonwealth Cup | 3:35 Friday | Royal Ascot | ITV
The Commonwealth Cup is the highlight of Day 4 and despite being relatively new as a race it's produced some top class winners. This year's renewal could easily throw up another good one and there is one here who is potentially very special.
On a side note, if the ground hadn't turned I would have been interested in Royal Lytham each-way. He travelled very well in the Irish Guineas before fading and on quicker ground could be a very useful sprinter. I may have a small bet on him placing (five places)
Pierre Lapin is a horse I cannot wait to see. He impressed on both starts last season and comes here at the top of the market. His two wins were on quick ground, but this half brother to Harry Angel won at the top level on soft, and Pierre Lapin can win a big one at Ascot which his sibling couldn't manage.
Best Bets
3:35 Royal Ascot – Pierre Lapin (9/2 Betfair)
