The Pertemps Hurdle is typically the hardest race of the meeting to pick a winner but this year it may be different. There is one towards the top of the market who looks thrown in and may well be aimed here.
The Storyteller (11/2 Paddy Power) is a previous Festival winner over fences winning off a mark of 147, and runs here off just 2lbs higher.
He is a Grade 1 winner over fences and races off a mark 9lbs lower than his chase rating. He stayed on well into sixth last time out and it would not surprise me one bit if he's been layed out for this by Gordon Elliott.
