NFL expert Tom Selwyn (@Tom_Selwyn) shares his expert opinion on the best bets available from Monday Night Football in San Francisco.
Cleveland Browns @ San Francisco 49ers | Tuesday 8th October 2019, 01:15 | Sky Sports
A little annoying after last week considering the “catches” from Connor were basically runs, but hey ho, onwards to this week’s matc-hup between the Browns and the 49ers.
San Francisco, coming off an absurdly early bye, have looked shaky at times but are one of the three remaining unbeaten teams and sit atop the NFC West. Likewise, Cleveland has not looked convincing in many phases, but after beating the rival Ravens they also are leading their division.
For me, despite having put up scores of 40 and 41, there are a number of issues still to be cleaned up on offense. The Browns had a lot of big plays last week and whilst they absolutely have the individual talent with players like Mayfield, Chubb and Beckham to hit them, last week’s ones appeared to come from missed assignments.
And for the 49ers, they beat the Steelers in the last game, but they had 5 turnovers! I can’t think of a game where a team had that many turnovers and still won.
With the offenses being far from perfect and the strengths of these two teams being their front sevens I like this game, like the previous three Monday night games, to go Under 47.5 Points.
Additionally, I’d like to focus on San Francisco’s superb TE George Kittle. He’s pretty much been held in check through their first three games, despite going over 50 yards in each, and has also been kept out of the end zone. I think he’ll break his duck in this game as Cleveland has given up three TDs to TEs in four games – he’s odds-against with most bookies.
Best Bets
Cleveland Browns @ San Francisco 49ers – Under 47.5 Points (17/20 Paddy Power)
Cleveland Browns @ San Francisco 49ers – George Kittle Anytime Touchdown (6/4 Unibet)
