Many people questioned Hull City's owners when they decided not to renew Nigel Adkins contract at the end of the 2018/2019 season and replace him with the unfancied Grant McCann. However, despite an opening day loss away to Swansea, the Tigers should have enough to see off Tony Mowbray's Blackburn in Tuesday night's live Championship fare.

In Jarrod Bowen, Hull possess one of the best finishers in the Championship. He should certainly be playing at Premier League level and there is no reason why he shouldn't be starring in a bottom half club in the top-flight. City fans should enjoy him, as I imagine he will be snapped up in the January window.

Bowen was excellent away to Brentford, in which he scored, and the Hull team managed 20 shots at Griffin Park, which is an excellent return against a possession based side like the Bees.

Blackburn, meanwhile, are fully dependent on Bradley Dack, if he plays well, Rovers play well. Mowbray's men go into this match after earning three points after a gritty home win against Middlesborough, and whilst they will go into this game with confidence, I can't see them coming away with anything from Hull.

After the away point at Brentford, McCann talked up his side's current form and the hosts appeal at 3/1 (Coral) in the Half-Time/Full-Time market, as well as firing six or more shots on-target at 23/10 (Paddy Power). Elsewhere, Bowen stands out at 19/10 (Betway) to notch at Anytime once more.

Best Bets

Hull v Blackburn – Hull/Hull (3/1 Coral)

Hull v Blackburn – Hull to have six or more shots on-target (23/10 Paddy Power)

Hull v Blackburn – Jarrod Bowen to score at anytime (19/10 Betway)
