The Pertemps Final is a handicap over three miles and arguably the most competitive race of the meeting. Twenty-four go to post and I have one I've backed each-way for this.
First Assignment (12/1 Bet365) is a horse I've liked for a while and in his eight-race career he has never been out of the first four places. He won two handicaps in fine style earlier in the campaign before two third-places when a short-priced favourite.
However, he was behind Stayers Hurdle favourite Paisley Park in one of those and with the ground drying, and big field ideal, he strikes me as an each-way bet here.
