SCOTTISH football expert Mr Fixit (@MrFixitTips) previews Rangers and Celtic's Thursday night Europa League fixtures.

Suduva v Celtic | Thursday 23rd August 2018, 18:00 | Premier Sports

After dropping out of the Champions League, Brendan Rodgers’s side have a straightforward task against Lithuanian minnows Suduva and are a tiny price to progress.

One bet I like is Celtic to win away and Gers to qualify at 7/5 with Betfair while both to win by two or more pays 11/2 at BetBright.

Last time the sides met Celtic triumphed 2-0 away after an 8-1 romp at home and while they flopped badly against AEK, their opponents are a massive step down in class and shouldn’t worry a leaky defence.

To win Celtic are 4/9 at BetStars and to qualify the biggest price is 7/100 with Marathon.

Rangers v Ufa | Thursday 23rd August 2018, 19:45

Rangers have it tougher against Russians Ufa but are playing well enough to get the job done.

The Teddy Bears are unbeaten in all competitions under Steven Gerrard including four Europa League ties where they’ve looked fairly comfortable.

This is Ufa’s first Euro venture and needed an away goal to dump Domzale and a last-gasp strike to edge out Progres Niederkorn. The Luxembourg side beat Rangers last season but this is a different Rangers.

Taking a lead to Russia will be vital and Rangers are a best 3/5 at BetVictor to achieve that and just 8/11 at Betfair to reach the group stage.

They were 3-1 victors over a stronger side in Maribor at home so will be looking to cover the -1 handicap at 15/8 with Betfred.

Alfredo Morelos has found his form and after his hat-trick against Kilmarnock is 6/4 at Sky Bet to score and 17/4 (Betway) to break the deadlock.

Best Bets

Celtic to win and Rangers to qualify (7/5 Betfair)

Celtic -1 and Rangers -1 double (11/2 BetBright)

Rangers v Ufa – Alfredo Morelos to score first (17/4 Betway)
