Serie A – Ballardini’s boys to give Nerazzurri a bloody nose

OUR man in Italy, Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) takes a look at Saturday night's Serie A.

Chievo v Cagliari | Saturday 17th February 2018, 17:00

Chievo are coming off four consecutive losses and this is such an unusual run for them.

They now sit just five points above relegation zone and they desperately need points, which they usually conquer in the first half of their seasons.

Also, Chievo are winless at home in their last five, something even stranger given their usual performances.

I am backing them to find their fortune back against Cagliari, who are among the softest travellers of Serie A. We can have Chievo with a -0.25 start at 49/50 (Marathon) which ensures half our stake is returned if the match ends all square.

Genoa v Inter Milan | Saturday 17th February 2018, 19:45 | BT Sport

Inter have some big injury problems heading away to Genoa. Mauro Icardi and Ivan Perisic will be both ruled out for this match, and this means the Nerazzurri be without about 90% of their usual offensive potential.

I sincerely have no clue how Inter will be able to get away with three points from Genoa. Maybe their only chance is to get a sneaky 1-0 win, but the Grifone have showed to dramatically improved defensively under head coach Davide Ballardini.

They rarely concede any, and have the quality to score at least once: that is why a double chance in Genoa’s favour at 4/6 (Bet365).

Best Bets
