GAA: Expect goals to flow in Carlow on Saturday night

Tipperary v Armagh | Saturday 17:00 | Sky Sports

A football double header of GAA on Sky Sports starts with Tipperary v Armagh. To be perfectly honest neither game enthuses me but we will have to get back on the winning trail to try and recoup some losses.  With some cracking games to look forward to in the coming weeks I would like plenty of extra funds.

Both teams are coming into this on the back of hard fought victories and neither were standing out as teams to invest heavily in but if Tipperary can get a couple of players back fit and healthy I’d expect them to outscore Armagh.

Tip are more than capable of putting up decent scores as seen in last year's championship run and here on their home patch I would expect a win.

As Tipperary are odds on to win I'm going to advise the -1 on the handicap at 5/4 for a little bit of value as they should get the job done. If you wish to play it a little safer then the 10/11 about getting a win looks good.

Carlow v Monaghan | Saturday 19:00 | Sky Sports

This game is very one sided with the bookmakers and having Monaghan as the hot favourites to win on Saturday evening seems correct.

Carlow gave Dublin a decent rattle without ever worrying them and they don't have the class of players that Monaghan have.

They also got a good win against Leitrim last time out but if Monaghan can put it all together on the day, and they have any real aspirations of winning an All-Ireland, they should have a comfortable evening away in Carlow.

They disposed of Wexford by 18 points last time out and have no shortage of scorers so I’d be disappointed if these two teams that scored five goals between them last time out couldn't cover the over 2.5 goals market. It's available at 5/4 and is too tempting to turn down.

Best Bets

Tipperary v Armagh – Tipperary -1 (5/4 Paddy Power)

Carlow v Monaghan – Over 2.5 Goals (5/4 Paddy Power)
