THE VOICE OF VALUE (@TheVoiceOfValue) has been part of our Festival squad for the last two years and nailed a 16/1 winner on Tuesday. Here's his verdict on the Wednesday finale, the Champion Bumper.

The Irish normally have a strong hand in the Champion Bumper but there don’t seem to be quite so many positive noises this year and it will be interesting to see if one of the English horses can do the business.

I have already tipped up Quick Grabin (20/1 10BET) on the basis of some decent form and some very positive vibes from Noel Fehily about the horse.

Not keen on favourite

I’m not keen on the favourite Carter McKay and I wouldn’t be surprised if he drifts in the market before the race. There are three others that catch the eye for varying reasons.

Someday is one because he has been the horse on everyone’s lips all week and the win at Leopardstown looks solid.

Next Destination is another, simply because Ruby has chosen to ride it and I’ll never forgive myself for leaving Briar Hill unbacked in similar circumstances in 2013.

The third is Fayonagh (10/1 10BET) for Gordon Elliott and Jamie Codd. She absolutely hosed up last time out and there is no telling just how good she is. With Elliott in great form and Jamie Codd on board she might just be the one. I can’t guarantee that I won’t stick a few quid on Ruby nearer the time though!

Best Bets

Champion Bumper – Faynoagh (10/1 each-way 10BET)

Champion Bumper – Quick Grabim (20/1 each-way 10BET)
