SO close to the treble last week, Mr Fixit (@mrfixittips) returns with a three more picks this weekend in Scotland.
Aberdeen v Celtic | Saturday 12:00 | Sky Sports 2
Celtic crashed to two league defeats at Pittodrie last season but a different side will pitch up at Pittodrie on Saturday lunchtime. Ronny Deila suffered two live TV 2-1 defeats on the way to the title but his successor Brendan Rodgers has raised the bar.
The champions have dropped just two points – at Inverness – and victory here will move them 10 points clear of the Dons with a game in hand. Title over.
Rodgers showed his hand by making eight changes to the side that beat Rangers last week for Wednesday's visit to Ross County. And his strength in depth was shown with a 4-0 win although he had to call on star men Moussa Dembele and Scott Sinclair to finish off the battling Highlanders.
Aberdeen reverted to type by losing at Hamilton just days after beating Morton to reach the Betfred Cup Final. This a dress rehearsal and having beaten the Dons 4-1 at home I can't see anything but another Hoops success unless Rodgers keeps his top guys back for Borussia Monchengladbach on Tuesday.
Rangers v Kilmarnock | Saturday 15:00
Rangers are now in a fight for second and after dropping more points at home to St Johnstone in midweek I wouldn't be rushing to back them at a best 2/5 with William Hill at home to revitalised Kilmarnock.
Killie have picked up seven points in three games and Lee Clark hailed their best display of the season as they beat Hearts 2-0 on Wednesday.
Souleyman Coulibaly took his goal tally to nine with a cracker and can cause problems at Ibrox against a Gers side who've made a habit of conceding first at home.
Killie held Mark Warburton's men at Rugby Park in August and won't fear the trip but their Ibrox record is poor. They are 9/4 at Paddy Power not to lose but best bet is both teams to score at 6/5 with Ladbrokes.
Raith v Queen Of The South | Saturday 15:00
In the Championship I like Raith at home to a QoS side without a league goal in five games and missing main striker Derek Lyle. Raith had a cracking 4-2 win at Falkirk last week and are always a tough nut to crack on their own patch where their league record this season reads played five, won three, drawn one, lost one.
Queens have gone right off the boil since their storming start to the season and have lost two on the bounce, conceding six. Rovers to win this one is the shout here at 7/5 with William Hill.
Best Bets
Aberdeen v Celtic – Celtic to win (9/11 Marathon Bet)
Rangers v Kilmarnock – Both Teams To Score (6/5 Ladbrokes)
Raith v Queen Of The South – Raith to win (7/5 William Hill)
