OUR man in Rome Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) returns to WLB with three fancies for Sunday's matches in Serie A.
Genoa v Empoli | Sunday 14.00
Expect Genoa to come up with three points against Empoli, who are among the candidates for relegation this season.
The away side have lost big talents in the summer window and did not show any sign of improvement in recent outings.
On the other hand, Genoa have showed an intriguing football style and they are usually a tough test at their home ground.
I expect Genoa’s talent to shine, especially with the return of a key player like Miguel Veloso in midfield. Plus, they have the young Giovanni Simeone, Diego’s son, who’s performing great with two goals already this season.
The home win is 9/10 (Marathon)
Inter Milan v Cagliari | Sunday 14.00 | BT Sport
Inter are probably one of the most unpredictable sides in Serie A, and management under Frank De Boer is a little inconsistent as yet – he managed to defeat Juventus at home while losing against Hapoel Beer Sheva and Sparta Prague.
Despite coming from a loss against Roma before the international break, De Boer seemed to have found some kind of solution for Inter.
The best strategy of this team is definitely to attack, as they have a big disposal of talent in players like Antonio Candreva, Ivan Perisc, Ever Banega and Mauro Icardi.
The combination of the front-four is a constant threat for any team and since they have the possibility to link up together they're having little problems scoring.
Inter should win but with Cagliari more than capable of scoring, add Over 2.5 Goals to the equation for a 19/20 (BetStars) shot.
Sassuolo v Crotone | Sunday 14.00
I’ve backed Crotone to finish bottom of this Serie A season and I still do not see any chance for them to avoid relegation.
The visitors are really unorganised and such it’s difficult to see them competing – I just cannot see any rescue from here until the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Sassuolo are performing incredibly well, also in the Europa League, and they are a side definitively superior to Crotone, having quality players and a functional style of play that pose threats to bigger clubs in recent encounters.
The odds are not so inviting, but the 4/7 (Marathon) for Sassuolo to get a home win is a banker, for me.
Best Bets
Genoa v Empoli – Genoa to win (9/10 Marathon)
Inter Milan v Cagliari – Inter Milan to win and Over 2.5 Goals (19/20 BetStars)
Sassuolo v Crotone – Sassuolo to win (4/7 Marathon)
