Arsenal fans were out in force on Twitter on Tuesday night as they failed to win for the fourth successive Premier League game and naturally rattles were tossed out of prams willy nilly.

To be fair it's not hard to understand their frustration and exasperation but for me it's far too early to be writing obituaries about the clubs title hopes.

For starters they have 14 games left and 42 points still to play for and a win here against Bournemouth would put them above Manchester City and level with Tottenham in second place.

I'm backing them to get the job done here on Sunday as the price looks a shade too big for the task in hand at 21/20 with Netbet. While they've failed to win in four there are fair reasons as to why that's the case.

Drawing with Liverpool at Anfield is nothing to be ashamed about and they were seconds away from taking all three points that evening. A draw at Stoke followed, a result that has proved beyond them for most of this decade.

Two weeks ago they lost 1-0 to Chelsea in a match which completely swung on Per Mertesacker's sending off early in the contest and then on Tuesday night they littered the Southampton goal with shot after shot but like most teams this year failed to get past man mountain Fraser Forster.

Now it's Bournemouth who lie in their way, a match they really have to win. The Cherries have surprised me this season with seven wins from their 24 matches but I feel this task may be too stiff for them.

Yes, they beat Chelsea and Manchester United in December but those sides were not in a good place at those points. You can't compare Arsenal's current position with them at all.

Indeed bar those victories the only side they've beaten on the South Coast are Norwich. A side in dire straights just now. No, this is a different level of test.

At odds against I'm eager to back Arsenal and I'll top that up with an interest in Over 1.5 Arsenal goals. The Cherries conceded three at home to West Ham last month and with Alexis Sanchez looking effervescent as ever this should oblige.
