OUR bookings man Gavin Murphy (@GamePlanGavin) has found an intriguing angle for one of Wednesday's Serie A matches.
Palermo v Sassuolo | Wednesday 19:45
Palermo host Sassuolo in Serie A action on Wednesday night and I believe there is an angle that us bookings punters need to be exploiting in this midweek encounter.
The visitors Sassuolo have been averaging three cards per game this term whilst the Sicilian hosts are averaging 2.25 so far this 2015/16 Serie A season.
In the corresponding fixture between these two teams last year there were two reds and four yellows so it's fair to say there's a bit of history between the clubs.
The whistle-blower in this one is Luca Pairetto. Looking at Pairetto's profile he's only officiated in Serie A once before and that, ironically, was a Sassuolo match against Chievo in which he dished out seven cards including a red. He seems to ply most of his trade in Serie B and averages 7.5 cards per game at that level.
On Wednesday night he'll get another crack at Italy's top flight and I'm sure he'll be desperate to be noticed so I'm backing Over 5.5 cards at 5/6 with Bet365.
Best Bets
