GAVIN Murphy's (@GamePlanGavin) favourite referee is in action on Sunday. He's all over it!

Senor Confetti makes his highly anticipated return on Sunday morning with the lower grade affair between Eibar and Rayo Vallecano. Exactly the sort of matches Alfonso Izquierdo thrives in!

The whisteblower from Barcelona has been in fine form and I think a few of you were surprised by quite how much he can lose it when we tipped the overs in Sporting Gijon and Granada a fortnight ago.

He averages 8.2 cards per game this season. I asked a Spanish journalist this week what the view is of him over there. His comment? “Not respected as card-happy”. That is music to our ears but, in truth, nothing we didn't already know.

This week the great man takes charge of Eibar and Rayo. The corresponding fixture last term had 10 cards in it so this has form. This season Eibar are Spain's dirtiest team averaging 3.78 cards per game. Rayo are also up there with 2.89 and seem to collect reds. That implies 6.67 per game as a guideline.

This looks the perfect mixture of two ill disciplined teams and a card happy referee. I'm gobsmacked to see over (just) 55pts with William Hill at 13/20. Do Hills know something we don't? The bet365 line is 7.5 (or 75pts).

These two teams alone average 6.67 as mentioned above let alone this referee! I'm struggling to contain my excitement! Hills are going a juicy 6/4 on over 6 cards. A remarkable price given this referee. Frankly, it looks a major mistake. I'm all over this like a cheap suit.

About Author

I first got interested in gambling through my cousin. He's a professional gambler and got me hooked as a teenager when you had to pay the 9% tax. Who remembers that?! These days I prefer to specialise on one market rather than spread myself too thinly. Hence my love of cards! Hopefully I can make others a few bob in the process of sharing my bets on WeLoveBetting. On a personal note I love most sports especially cricket, rugby and NFL. I support Tottenham and all things Welsh and outside of sport I enjoy reading autobiographies particularly with a glass of good wine!
