Serie A – Super Samp should have the edge in the Derby della Lanterna

OUR man in Italy, Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) looks to continue his hot streak in Serie A with some Saturday picks.

Bologna v Crotone | Saturday 17:00

I am confident Bologna will take the three points here, especially with regard to their recent home form.
They have showed consistency this season, also in their defeat against Napoli. Crotone away from home are one of the softest tests you will face in Serie A and I am expecting Bologna to have no mercy.

Genoa v Sampdoria | Saturday 19:45 | BT Sport 2

This is an exciting derby of la lanterns on Saturday evening with the teams having opposite trends.
The home side are really struggling in this opening period of the season, but the constant for them has been goals. I am backing this trend for them again, and BTTS will be my selection.

As I’ve said, they’ve played very open in their home games so far (they’ve lost 4-2 to Juve and 3-2 to Napoli) and Sampdoria should be no different, since the blucerchiati never refuse an open battle.
Their superior quality and organisation should also emerge, but I will go cautious here and back them DNB.
