CARD king Gavin Murphy (@GamePlanGavin) reckons he's onto something with this Saturday bet.

Bologna v Torino | Saturday 14:00

There is a mid table, nothing to play for game taking place in Serie A on Saturday afternoon as Torino travel to Bologna. Both sides are safe from relegation and won't be needing their passports for European competition so you might well ask why are we focusing on this game?

Well his name is Rosario Abisso. He is a 30 year old referee from Palermo and he is an animal! We identified him in January if you recall because he has the most amazing card stats I've ever seen. This week he makes his long awaited return.

He typically operates at Serie B level where this season he has given 12 reds in 13 games. He averages an incredible 9.15 cards per game in 2015/16 across all matches.

This compares to his 2014/15 average of 6.55 cards per game. A striking increase of nearly 40%! As mentioned, he obliged for us in his only other Serie A game this term when giving six cards in the encounter between Verona and Empoli.

There is no doubt that his average drops when he occasionally officiates at the top flight level, albeit over a very small sample size. In three career Serie A games he averages 5.33 cards per game.

The past six meetings between these two teams read as 1-0-1-3-4-7. That's an average of five cards per game.

As there is apparently nothing on the game please don't go mad. However, simply because of this referee's ability to shower cards like confetti I'm going to recommend going over.

Based on this market this would have won in 12/13 games this season that Abisso has covered. In the match which would have lost gave five cards so very close indeed.

William Hill are taking no chances with their 4/7 quote but Bet365 are currently offering over 5.5 cards at 1.85 on their Asian line and that gets my recommendation.

About Author

I first got interested in gambling through my cousin. He's a professional gambler and got me hooked as a teenager when you had to pay the 9% tax. Who remembers that?! These days I prefer to specialise on one market rather than spread myself too thinly. Hence my love of cards! Hopefully I can make others a few bob in the process of sharing my bets on WeLoveBetting. On a personal note I love most sports especially cricket, rugby and NFL. I support Tottenham and all things Welsh and outside of sport I enjoy reading autobiographies particularly with a glass of good wine!
