CARD man Gavin Murphy (@GamePlanGavin) is back with another weekend bookings bet.

Bayern Munich v Ingolstadt | Saturday 14:30

An unusual dip into the German cards market this week for us. Mid-table Ingolstadt travel to Munich to take on table-topping Bayern in what must be a daunting task for the visitors.

A limited sample size but the last time this fixture was played it ended 6-0 to the Bavarians back in 2011 and it wouldn't be a surprise to see a similar scoreline again.

That would probably mean a low number of cards. Bayern don't tend to get many anyway but especially at home where they often crush teams.

Bayern average just 1.33 cards per game in the Bundesliga. The visitors typically collect 2.53 per game.

The referee, Michael Wiener, has limited top flight experience for someone aged 46 and he gave out three cards in his sole outing this term when taking charge of Hoffenheim's 3-3 draw with Borussia M'gladbach.

You never know with a line so low  but with Bayern potentially out of sight by half time, the under 3.5 cards at 11/10 with Bet365 caught my eye and gets my recommendation.

Sunderland v Watford | Saturday 15:00

Sunderland host Watford on Saturday afternoon and I believe there is an opportunity for cards punters. The Black Cats average 2.13 cards per game and the Hornets 1.87. This implies a total of four cards would be the norm.

The referee is a guy I don't know much about, Graham Scott. He makes his top flight season debut today. Upon closer inspection, he has given between four and six cards in 5/7 games so a nice trend.

So with this in mind, between 4-6 Cards at 11/10 with William Hill looks great value given the stats.

Best Bets

Bayern Munich v Ingolstadt – Under 3.5 Cards (11/10 Bet365)

Sunderland v Watford – Between 4-6 Cards (11/10 William Hill)

8/1 Man City & Man Utd Double (Boylesports)

Decent this. New mobile players to Boylesports can back City & United at an enhanced 8/1 and join our £100 5 For A Ton competition.

About Author

I first got interested in gambling through my cousin. He's a professional gambler and got me hooked as a teenager when you had to pay the 9% tax. Who remembers that?! These days I prefer to specialise on one market rather than spread myself too thinly. Hence my love of cards! Hopefully I can make others a few bob in the process of sharing my bets on WeLoveBetting. On a personal note I love most sports especially cricket, rugby and NFL. I support Tottenham and all things Welsh and outside of sport I enjoy reading autobiographies particularly with a glass of good wine!
