THERE  are a number of special markets available for the new Scottish Premiership season. Chris Graham (@chrisgraham79) picks out his favourites.

Dundee United. They lie at the heart of my punting when it comes to these special bets.

Jackie McNamara's side look to be on a downward trajectory after an excellent 2014. Back on December 21st of last year they beat Celtic 2-1 at Tannadice to move to within four points of them and set up hopes of a three-pronged title challenge in the New Year. That really was as good as it got.

In January they lost Gary Mackay-Steven and Stuart Armstrong to Celtic and it seemed to rip the heart out of the side. After that month they won just three more league fixtures and were utterly brutalised by Celtic in a four game multi-competition series in March. It was sick!

United finished fifth in the league (deeply disappointing after their start) and ended the season on a real low note. It might just get worse this season you know. Nadir Ciftci has trod that now familiar path of Tannadice to Celtic Park over the summer and defender Jaroslaw Fojut has gone back to Poland.

I'm more than happy to back the Arabs at 11/4 to finish in the Bottom 6 with Ladbrokes and on top of that I'll take the 6/1 on Jackie McNamara being the next manager to leave his post. McNamara is an ambitious guy and he probably thinks he's taken the club as far as he can. If they get off to a bad start I can see him walking.

Another side I'll back to finish Bottom 6 is Scottish Cup winners Inverness CT. Ladbrokes are offering 7/2 on a bottom half finish and I'm more than prepared to get involved.

Key figures Graeme Shinnie and Marley Watkins have left the club, there seems little budget to replace these talents and I'd also factor in a Cup Final hangover. They're already out of Europe, so how on earth can you top last season?

Best Bets

Scottish Premiership – Dundee United to finish in the Bottom 6 (11/4 Ladbrokes)

Scottish Premiership – Inverness CT to finish in the Bottom 6 (7/2 Ladbrokes)

Scottish Premiership – Jackie McNamara to be first manager to leave post (6/1 Ladbrokes)
