SO how will the Scottish Premiership pan out this season? Chris Graham (@chrisgraham79) attempts to list the Top 12 in correct order.
Scottish Premiership | How They’ll Finish
1. Celtic 1/33
Too short a price for me but it might be a little fanciful to see their crown slipping. The new signings look unspectacular but with a year already under his belt manager Ronny Deila can bring more success to Celtic Park.
2. Aberdeen 20/1
The highest non-Old Firm points tally in over 20 years, exciting new signings and outstanding Europa League results already under their belt, these are exciting times in the North East. They can push Celtic even harder this season.
3. Hearts 66/1
Won the Championship by a distance last season and look equipped to put another bold show this time round. Young coach Robbie Neilson looks the real deal and with other clubs from last year’s Top 6 on the wane Hearts can take advantage.
4. Dundee 500/1
Finishing sixth last season was an outstanding achievement but it looks like the club have no desire to rest on their laurels. Signings as impressive as Kane Hemmings, Rory Loy, Kevin Holt and Nicky Low indicate that the Dens club mean serious business in 2014/15.
5. St Johnstone 250/1
Fourth last year on the back of a Scottish Cup win was hugely impressive and another strong season for Saints looks likely with John Sutton and Liam Craig in the Perth door.
6. Ross County 1000/1
Lots to like about Ross County this season. Jim McIntyre will have his first full season in charge for starters, on top of that he’s brought in ex-charge Ian McShane from Queen Of The South and Brian Graham amongst others.
7. Dundee United 200/1
Things don’t look great at Tannadice. The loss of Gary Mackay-Steven and Craig Armstrong in January hurt the club badly and with Nadir Ciftci leaving in the summer the cupboard looks bare. Expect the doom and gloom to continue at Tannadice.
8. Inverness CT 150/1
The Scottish Cup winners had an amazing season last year but things look to be unravelling with Graeme Shinnie and Marley Watkins off to pastures new. Can we expect a Cup hangover as well?
9. Motherwell 1000/1
Torrid time last season but they stayed up. Ian Baraclough now gets a full season in charge and with the exciting Louis Moult and David Clarkson amongst their ranks they should be fine.
10. Kilmarnock 1000/1
Intriguing times at Rugby Park with questions filling the air? Can Gary Locke get a grip on the job? Will Kris Boyd rediscover his scoring tough? How will Kille cope without Pascali and Eremenko?
11. Partick Thistle 750/1
Never really in any danger of relegation last season but Thistle look vulnerable this time round with others looking like they might improve. The loss of Lyle Taylor causes problems.
12. Hamilton 1000/1
When you lose the whole spirit of your club, shit will hit the fan and that’s what happened to Hamilton in January when Alex Neil moved to Norwich. New boss Martin Canning took to the Spring to find his first win as Accies plummeted down the table. Second season syndrome seems a real possibility in 2015/16.
