Scottish Football: Sting in the tail for Queens, says Mr Fixit

DAILY RECORD star Mr Fixit (@mrfixittps) shares his best bets from Saturday's action.

Alloa v Queen of the South | Saturday 13th April 2019, 15:00

It's a fascinating battle for survival in the Championship with four points separating the bottom five with four games to go or five if you're Partick.

Alloa are punching above their weight and have climbed off the foot with three wins in a row.

I fancy them at 2/1 with Bet365 at home to Queen of the South who will be minus 40-goal hitman Stephen Dobbie for the rest of the season.

The Wasps are level on points with Queens so how they can be such a big price is anyone's guess. In three meetings this season Alloa have taken seven points.

Peterhead v Albion | Saturday 13th April 2019, 15:00

Peterhead have almost clinched the League Two title – they have a six-point lead with just four games left.

With the pressure off they can beat second-bottom Albion easily to close in on glory.

The Blue Toon have taken 19 points from the last 21 at home and are worth backing to win with Over 2.5 Goals at 3/4 with Betway.

Cowdenbeath v Elgin | Saturday 13th April 2019, 15:00

Also in League Two, Cowdenbeath are a nice price at 13/8 with Bet365 – and that's already been cut a few times.

Beath battered second-place Edinburgh City 4-1 last week and won 4-1 at Elgin recently.

Elgin have lost five on the spin, failing to score in three of those defeats, and I'm on the hosts.

Best Bets

Alloa v Queen of the South – Alloa to win (2/1 Bet365)

Peterhead v Albion – Peterhead to win and Over 2.5 Goals (3/4 Betway)

Cowdenbeath v Elgin – Cowdenbeath to win (13/8 Bet365)
