Orlando City v Montreal Impact | Saturday 16th March 2019, 20:00

Orlando’s second home game of the new MLS season looks to be a good one this weekend as they welcome Montreal Impact.

Orlando started the season with 2-2 at home to New York City, which in fairness was a great result. Played two, drawn two then so far, certainly a good platform to build on and they’ll be confident that they can secure a first win of the season on Saturday night.

Montreal Impact come into this one having won 2-1 on the opening day in San Jose before losing 2-1 last weekend in Houston. This weekend’s game is their third in a run of six straight away games for the visitors, and they know that’s it’s crucial come April when they make their home debut that they’ve picked up a good amount of points during what is a demanding run of fixtures.

It’s a tough one to call in terms of a result but one thing I do think is guaranteed is goals. Orlando, though not losing a game in the first two weeks, have still looked shaky at the back whilst down the other end they seem to have found an attacking threat that just wasn’t there last season and I expect that to continue.

Impact have shown that they’re not taking this stretch of road games lightly and have been more than competitive in their two matches; I watched the game against Houston last week and personally thought they deserved a point at least and were unlucky to come away with nothing.

All-in-all, everything points towards a game full of goals for me, so with that being said I’m going to take on the Over 3 Asian Goals line as my standout pick a 11/10 (Bet365). Three goals exactly sees our stake returned with four or more goals returning profit.

LA Galaxy v Minnesota United | Sunday 17th March 2019, 02:30

A mixed start to the new season for LA Galaxy, after a 2-1 opening day victory at home to Chicago was followed by defeat in Dallas last weekend, going down 2-0 in what was a disappointing display.

Minnesota, on the other hand, have won two from two. I’m personally very surprised at the start United have made – I really didn’t see them performing so well and I have to tip my hat to them.

However, the two victories have come against Vancouver and San Jose, and without taking any credit away from Minnesota, the two sides they’ve faced were there for the taking.

Don’t get me wrong, the two wins that they have achieved were impressive and last week in San Jose they blew a very poor Earthquakes side away winning 3-0 and looked solid. This week is their first real test, Galaxy away often proves a daunting task for many MLS sides and I think this is where Minnesota will come unstuck.

Now Galaxy are without Zlatan Ibrahimovic for a second straight game as he tries to fight off an Achilles problem but that aside I still believe the Galaxy have more than enough quality to get the job done and get back to winning ways this weekend at 21/20 (Betfair).

It won’t be easy by any stretch of the imagination but they’re a good price for the win and I just can’t ignore taking it at home to a Minnesota side who are surely performing above they’re station early on.
