NFL nut Kyle Robins (@AhhYeahKyleYeah) shares his expert opinion on the best bets available from Monday Night Football as the Washington Redkins travel to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Washington Redskins @ Philadelphia Eagles | Tuesday 27th November 2018, 01:15 | Sky Sports

For consecutive weeks, Monday Night Football is headlined by a divisional match-up, this time in the form of a crucial NFC East contest. To put it simply, it’s a must with for both Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles.

Fortune certainly favours Philadelphia heading into this. Washington have been riddled with injuries throughout the year; the most heartbreaking coming a few weeks back, with Alex Smith’s graphic leg break. The Eagles come into this off the back of a hard-fought divisional victory over the Giants and will certainly be buoyed by the fightback they showed in that match.

Despite the Redskins’ occasionally impressive defensive performances, the Eagles are rightly six-point favourites heading into this. With just running back Josh Adams on the injury report for Philly, they look to be going into this almost at full-strength.

One thing the Eagles will undoubtedly be looking for is more production out of their recent trade acquisition, Golden Tate. The former Lions wide out hasn’t quite broken out yet for Philly as of yet, and might well be looking to lights of primetime to showcase his talents.

Pressure will certainly be on the Eagles in a game they’re expected to win. They just about got home last week against a 3-8 Giants side, and whilst it’s fair to say Carson Wentz hasn’t performed well these past two weeks (especially against the Saints), he will be looking to bounce back and put on a show Monday night.

A constant for the Eagles and Wentz is, they like to target tight end Zach Ertz a lot. An awful lot. He is undoubtedly their most talented receiver, and they certainly give him his fair share of targets each week.

At home this year, Ertz has been near on unstoppable, posting stat lines of 91, 145, 138 and 110 yards his last four outings in Philly. And with his line set at 65.5, I feel extremely comfortable taking the over at 5/6 with SkyBet.

After bringing in a 27/20 win last week with Over 44.5 Points in the Titans v Texans Monday night outing, I’ll be taking a similar approach to this game.

Both Philly and Washington haven’t been in particularly high-scoring games thus far, and the Redskins might be under the guidance of a backup quarterback in Colt McCoy, but this is a Redskins offense who was able to put up 21 points on a Dallas defense who held the Saints to just 10.

The Eagles haven’t exactly set the league alight with their defensive performances, and given the trend of recent home games, I’ll be taking a slightly riskier shot and leaning towards Over 47.5 Points, best priced 6/5 with Betfair.

Best Bets

Washington Redskins @ Philadelphia Eagles – Over 47.5 Points (6/5 Betfair)

Washington Redskins @ Philadelphia Eagles – Zach Ertz Over 65.5 Receiving Yards (5/6 SkyBet)
