The Moyglare Stud is the main juvenile race for fillies in Ireland and is often won by a future star. This looks a good renewal if not spectacular, however there is one here I really like and see as a future classic contender.

Just Wonderful (7/2 Bet365) is a promising juvenile who has won two from four so far. I think her best days are ahead of her. She was heavily fancied at Royal Ascot in the Chesham but she ran no sort of race. Last time out she confirmed her potential and with the stable runners coming from under a cloud I expect her to improve past these and take group one glory.

The National Stakes is often the key group one of the season in Ireland and a race Aidan O'Brien tends to dominate. He has more than half the field here but he will face a real challenge here from Quorto although I still expect him to train the winner.

Anthony Van Dyke (6/4 Bet Victor) has won three from four so far and is the stables number one hope. He shapes although he will want further in time. He has guaranteed stamina and that could prove vital here. I expect this to be run at a strong pace and for him to get on top late on here.

The Irish St Ledger is the final classic of the season and with it being open to all ages is often the most interesting of the year. It's been won by some high class horses down the years and this year's renewal is likely to be won by a horse looking to add a second classic to his CV.

Latrobe (5/2 Ladbrokes) is a late developing three year old and he produced a massively improved performance on his fifth start to win the Irish Derby. Since then he's run once, when down the field in the Judmonte International, however this is a much more his cup of tea. He shapes like a stayer and I expect him to take a lot of beating here. I'd be disappointed if he doesn't win this.

16:15 Curragh – Anthony Van Dyke (6/4 Bet Victor)

I grew up watching Hearts games with my dad and playing football at every opportunity so betting on it was the logical next step! Football coupons became a Saturday ritual and it introduced me into the world of horse racing. I started watching it on a regular basis, and after Galileo's Derby win in 2001 I was hooked. I follow both flat and national hunt racing attending the northern meetings when possible.
