Serie A – Eagles can fly-high on Saturday night

OUR man in Rome and resident Serie A expert Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) looks ahead to the action on the opening Saturday of the 2018/19 season.

Chievo v Juventus | Saturday 18th August 2018, 17:00 | Eleven Sports

Juventus should have no problem seeing off Chievo on Saturday afternoon.

The Bianconeri under Massimiliano Allegri usually do not start extremely well, but this season their quality is superior to 70% of their divisional rivals in Serie A.

Juve should deploy all such quality in their starting XI, with Douglas Costa, Paul Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo all to feature from the first minute.

Five-time Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo should make his mark on his debut (17/20 Betway), and I am backing Juventus to score at ease against a harmless opponent.

Backing Over 2.5 Goals (19/25 Marathon)is the right option.

Lazio v Napoli | Saturday 18th August 2018, 19:45 | Eleven Sports

I see Napoli struggling a lot, especially in first part of their season under Carlo Ancelotti.

Life under a new coach may not easy as expected, and Lazio could take advantage, what with the hosts being a more experience side and the fact they have not changed much from last season.

I am going with a familiar bet that paid dividends plenty of times in previous years – backing the Lazio to score Over 1.5 Goals (5/4 Coral).

I’m also backing them on the Draw No Bet (11/10 Unibet) market as a wise option.
