Scottish Football – The Jam Tarts can ease to victory, says Mr Fixit

THE Daily Record's Mr Fixit (@mrfixittps) shares his best bets from the fifth weekend of the 2018/19 Scottish season.

Hearts v St Mirren | Saturday 1st September, 15:00

The Jambos have started superbly with three wins from three but have lost strike star Kyle Lafferty and boss Craig Levein will follow events from his hospital bed.

Austin McCann will take charge and little will change while players will want to win to give the manager a lift.

Saints are struggling under Alan Stubbs and had no shots on target in last week’s 2-0 defeat at home to Livingston.

Hearts should win this by at least two at 11/8 with Betfred.

Queen of the South v Ayr | Saturday 1st September, 15:00

Early Championship pacesetters Ayr head to Palmerston for a clash that promises goals.

Queens’ Stephen Dobbie and Ayr hitman Lawrence Shankland are two of the division’s hottest strikers and both could be on target.

I fancy over 2.5 goals – which has landed in all three of Queens’ games so far this season – at 19/20 at Marathonbet.

Best Bets

Hearts v St Mirren – Hearts -1 handicap (11/8 Betfred)

Queen of the South v Ayr – Over 2.5 goals (19/20 Marathon)
