Football League – No home advantage on Tuesday night

FOOTBALL LEAGUE expert Ross Casey (@RossCasey24) shares his favourite fancies from Tuesday's card.

Derby v Cardiff | Tuesday 24th April 2018, 19:45 | Sky Sports

To say that there is bad blood between these two sides would be an understatement. From the bizarre video leaked to the public of Sean Morrison slagging off Richard Keogh, to the late abandonment of the original fixture due to nonexistent snow, this one has plenty of spice.

Add in the fact that both teams desperately need to win and the Sky cameras will be delighted they have bought rights to the game! Derby's promotion push has come to a screeching halt, with The Rams losing three in a row and sides seemingly figuring out a way to stifle Matej Vydra.

Cardiff on the other have have bounced back from two back-to-back defeats by winning 2-0 at Norwich and beating Forest 2-1 at home. They haven't lost lost at the iPro in any of their last six visits and to me look a decent price at 9/10 (Marathon) in the draw no bet market.

It means we are backing the game to go to form with the safety blanket of getting our money back if the match ends in a draw.

Doncaster v Blackburn | Tuesday 24th April 2018, 19:45

Doncaster's season is over in terms of their promotion hopes and they have no fear of being relegated, so Blackburn, who can seal promotion back to the Championship with a win here have a great chance of doing just that at The Keepmoat on Tuesday night.

Tony Mowbray's side are on an incredible run of late, they are 13 unbeaten and have won nine of the matches in that sequence, drawing the other four. In fact, they have only lost one away game since the middle of October, so against a Donny side that have won just four of their last 18 in all competitions, I will take the 3/4 odds with bet365 that Blackburn win and clinch promotion back to the Championship.

The home side have conceded in six of their last eight home games and Blackburn are the joint second top scorers on the road, so I fancy them to be in the goals, and also have the second best away defence in League One.

Morecambe v Cambridge | Tuesday 24th April 2018, 19:45

Morecambe are perilously close to the relegation zone, but a win here would see them guarantee safety as that would leave them seven points clear of 23rd placed Barnet with just two games remaining.

Unfortunately for them, they are on a current run of just one win in their last 10 matches, so the victory may well prove hard to come by. In fact, Jim Bentley's side have won just six home games at the Globe Arena this season, only Grimsby recording fewer home wins than them in League Two.

They face a Cambridge side tonight with little to play for, but they are a much improved team under Joe Dunne, losing just three of their 12 games under him.

With Cambridge winning three of their last four and Morecambe proving draw specialists of late – six of their last 10 matches have been stalemates – I am backing another draw here at 131/50 with Marathon.

Best Bets

Derby v Cardiff – Cardiff draw no bet (9/10 Marathon)

Doncaster v Blackburn – Blackburn to win (3/4 bet365)

Morecambe v Cambridge – Draw (131/50 Marathon)
