Serie A – Napoli can overcome another hurdle in their title push

OUR man in Italy, Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) looks to continue his hot streak in Serie A with his best picks for Saturday's matches.

Spal v Bologna | Saturday 3rd March 2018, 14:00

Whenever SPAL are at home, goals look to be on the cards. The hosts have only failed to find the net on two occasions, scoring twice against Napoli and Lazio among others.

Their victory away at Crotone should give them a boost as they look to avoid relegation.

Bologna have the tools to be dangerous too. Their attacking trio is well equipped to cause problems for a SPAL side who have average two goals against per home match.

Back an entertaining game in Ferrara.

Lazio v Juventus | Saturday 3rd March 2018, 17:00 | BT Sport

This could be a decisive weekend for Italian football, with Lazio facing Juve and Napoli hosting Roma. Both games will have a big say in terms of the Scudetto.

I’m cautious of backing goals galore here, despite Lazio’s incredible home scoring form. As is usually the case, Juve have proved to be a solid  defence unit this season. They've conceded only once in last 12 Serie A games.

It is very hard to call a winner here. Despite Juventus being clearly favorites for me, they have some injury problems upfront with Gonzalo Higuain out for the game. However scoring at least once should not be a problem, especially with Paulo Dybala returning.

Juventus should also rotate some of their defensive line, so I am confident Lazio will be able to score. The Biancocelesti have managed to do so in all but one games of their Serie A season.

Backing one goal from each side looks the safe option here.

Napoli v Roma | Saturday 3rd March, 19:45 | BT Sport

Napoli have the chance to maintain their solid lead by winning against Roma at San Paolo.

Last season this match ended 3-1 to Roma, with the Partenopei taking revenge at the Olimpico in the final part of the season. Napoli also Roma away 1-0 in October.

Napoli have proved to be far superior this season, and I’ll be backing them to continue the job this Saturday. The Giallorossi are in a bit of a crisis after losing to Shahktar and Milan in the last week.

Their struggles in front of goal are yet to be solved, and Napoli are arguably playing some of the best football in the world.

Their motivation and superior quality can lead Napoli to a win, with at least two goals in the game
