Scottish Football – A Tasty Treble From Mr Fixit

THE Daily Record's Mr Fixit (@mrfixittps) casts his eye over the weekend's Scottish football fixtures, highlighted by the Old Firm derby.

Rangers v Celtic | Sunday 11th March 2018, 12:00

Bookies have wrongly priced many Old Firm games in recent seasons – mostly resulting in nice profit for backers of Celtic.

This time they may have underestimated a Rangers side that goes into battle tomorrow on the back of six wins.

Graeme Murty, his players and fans believe this is their best chance of beating their city rivals and I have to agree.

In recent seasons I’ve tipped Celtic to win and on the handicaps at good prices and I can see why people will be smashing into Rangers who are as big as 3/1 at Marathonbet.

Celtic, despite some indifferent form, are hot favourites at 11/10 with William Hill, while the draw pays 27/10 at Marathonbet.

As Gers are so big they are tempting at 17/20 with Marathonbet not to lose and draw no bet at 19/10.

A draw would suit Brendan Rodgers and maintain a six-point lead with a home game in hand against Dundee. A score draw is possible at 15/4 with McBookie.

Whatever happens there should be goals with Gers on a hot streak and the Hoops having won three in a row at Ibrox. Take both teams to score at 3/4 with bet365.

Kilmarnock v Ross County | Saturday 10th March 2018, 15:00

Elsewhere in the Premiership this weekend, best bets are Kilmarnock at home to County.

Killie have climbed to fifth after winning six of their last seven at home and boast the league’s top scorer in veteran striker Kris Boyd.

They are 53/50 with Marathonbet and that’s too good to ignore against bottom club County who have one win in 16 and rookie gaffers Stuart Kettlewell and Steven Ferguson in charge for the first time after the shock exit of Owen Coyle.

Stirling Albion v Peterhead | Saturday 10th March 2018, 15:00

Stirling are on the surge in League Two and face a Blue Toon side who blow hot and cold.

Albion have won five on the spin while Peterhead have put together back-to-back triumphs after going four without victory.

The visitors are now neck and neck with Montrose at the top but their faltering title bid could take another hit here. Albion are 5/6 at Betway not to lose and is decent value worth taking.

Best Bets

Rangers v Celtic – Both Teams To Score (3/4 bet365)

Kilmarnock v Ross County – Kilmarnock To Win (53/50 Marathonbet)

Stirling Albion v Peterhead – Stirling Albion Double Chance (5/6 Betway)
