Southampton haven’t won a Premier League game since November, a run of nine games and as of this weekend, Mauricio Pelligrino is favourite to be the next Premier League boss to go.

Struggling Saints

The Saints have won just three of 12 games at St Mary’s this season, with those victories coming against West Ham, West Brom and Everton who were all in turmoil at the time. They’ve lost five of seven games against the top six, including a 5-2 loss to Spurs at Wembley.

Goals have been an issue for Pelligrino’s men, and their task has been made even more difficult as Charlie Austin remains out. He’s accounted for 36% of the Saints home goals this season.

In-form Spurs

Mauricio Pochettino returns to his old side with his Spurs team in impressive form. Tottenham have won four of their last five, scoring 15 goals across those five matches.

Spurs are odds-against when giving up a goal on the Asian Handicap market and it looks pretty appealing. They’ve won six of eight away matches at sides outside of the top six, with five of those wins coming by at least two goals. Pochettino’s side have also kept clean sheets in five of those six wins.

The 6/5 is worth chancing giving that it sees our stake void if they win by just the single goal.

Cards the value

Oriel Romeu averages more attempted tackles, interceptions, and fouls than any Southampton player to have played at least three games. He’s received six booking in 21 games this season and has seen a card 27 times in his 108 games in the Premier League.

The 11/4 about him to be carded looks decent value when you consider that Spurs are the fourth most fouled side on their travels, and only Manchester City average more possession per-game on the road that Spurs.

With Dele Alli Tottenham’s most fouled player and Southampton likely to conceded possession, we should get a decent run for our money.
