Serie A – Blucerchiati to take advantage of Roman concerns

0

OUR man in Italy, Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) looks to continue his hot streak in Serie A with his best Wednesday night selections.

Lazio v Udinese | Wednesday 24th January 2018, 17:30 | BT Sport

Lazio had no problems beating Chievo on Sunday, as they managed to score five goals even without their main striker Ciro Immobile, who was injured during the match.

I reckon the Biancocelesti will manage to have a similar score also against Udinese. The Friulani are a more talented side than Chievo, but still their defensive solidity remains a concern, while Lazio’s offensive flow is among the top five in Europe.

Felipe Anderson and Nani are likely to be involved in the game, and I think Lazio will keep up their average of 2.70 goals scored per-game at home.

Lazio to win and Over 2.5 Goals (6/5 Ladbrokes) is my selection.

Sampdoria v Roma | Wednesday 24th January 2018, 19:45 | BT Sport

Roma are in a bit of trouble in recent times, as their January transfer window seems to be very hot.

Edin Dzeko and Emerson Palmieri are moving to Chelsea, leaving the Giallorossi without their key offensive player, able to score 46 goals in 88 games in his time in Rome. Also, their injury problems are a concern, and their starting line-up against Sampdoria might not be their all time best.

For this reason I am backing Sampdoria double chance (4/5 Marathon): the Blucerchiati have managed to avoid defeat in most of their games, including a victory against seven-time reigning champions Juventus.

Best Bets

Lazio v Udinese – Lazio to win and Over 2.5 Goals (6/5 Ladbrokes)

Sampdoria v Roma – Sampdoria double chance (4/5 Marathon)
