THE Daily Record's Mr Fixit (@mrfixittps) casts his eye over the weekend's Scottish football fixtures, highlighting his best bets.

St Mirren v Queen of the South | Saturday 3rd February 2018, 15:00

The Championship continues to stump punters and Morton's 3-0 win at Dundee United last week was one of many recent shocks.

That result had St Mirren fans cheering for their rivals and the Buddies are now nine points clear at the top and no bigger than 3/10 at Paddy Power to lift the title.

Surprisingly, Saints are odds against at home to Queen of the South having already beaten them twice – 3-1 and 3-2.

Take the home side to win at 51/50 with Marathon.

Ayr v Alloa | Saturday 3rd February 2018, 15:00

Ayr are back at the top in League One and should stay there by taking care of Alloa but are no bigger than 1/2 with Marathon.

The best policy is to go with goals and Ayr and Over 2.5 pays 11/10 at Ladbrokes – four of the Honest Men's last six have featured five goals or more.

Arbroath v Albion | Saturday 3rd February 2018, 15:00

Talking of goals, Albion Rovers' last 10 in league and cup have gone the Over 3.5 Goals mark, which is quite remarkable.

They travel to Arbroath where they lost 4-1 earlier in the season and Over 3.5 Goals is worth backing at 6/4 at Betfair.

Best Bets

St Mirren v Queen of the South – St Mirren to win (51/50 Marathon)

Ayr v Alloa – Ayr to win and Over 2.5 Goals (11/10 Ladbrokes)

Arbroath v Albion – Over 3.5 Goals (6/4 Betfair)
