My first thoughts here were to simply back the draw. However, a little digging suggested I was being a little too conservative. Between them these sides have drawn 35% of their league games this season, suggesting the 9/4 on a stalemate is good value.

Value

Quick research tells you that all 12 have been either 0-0 or 1-1. 0-0 is available at 8/1 with Hills. Given that these two have four goalless draws between them, that is of some value.

There appears even greater promise in the 1-1 score line. Southampton have recorded this result on three occasions and Spurs five, suggesting the implied odds should be just 10/3. Hills are offering 11/2 so I recommend you take them up on the offer.

Defence

Simply put; these two sides are better defensively than they are going forward. The Saints have scored more than once at home on just one occasion this season (against a travel sick Burnley side) whilst Spurs have failed to score twice in their last six away games.

N.B. I would stake slightly more on the 1-1 draw. Place bets so profits (if either bet does come in) are almost identical regardless of which one does the business.

Best Bets
