DOES Willie Duncan (@Wille_Duncan) reckon Man Utd have what it takes to end their dull streak and see off CSKA Moscow with ease on Tuesday night?

Man Utd v CSKA Moscow | Tuesday 19.45 | BT Sport Europe

What is going on at Old Trafford these days? Barn doors and banjos springs to mind as Louis van Gaal's side failed to find the net for a third successive match during a dismal 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace at the weekend.

Will there be respite for United when CSKA Moscow pitch up at Old Trafford on Tuesday night in the Champions League? You know, I really think that there might be.

Tuesday's hosts claimed a gutsy 1-1 draw when these two sides locked horns in Moscow last month and, with Leonid Slutsky's side often poor travellers in this competition, I fancy United to win this tussle easily enough.

CSKA may have fond memories of Manchester because they won on their last visit to the city – 2-1 against United's bitter rivals Manchester City this time last year – but that was one of just two victories in their last 10 away matches in this competition.

Van Gaal's men have not had their troubles to seek in recent times, but the Champions League has often provided United with home comforts – quite literally, given that they have won six of their last seven matches at Old Trafford in this competition.

However, the good people at WLB Towers would have me strung up if I was tipping up the Premier League side at just 8/13 to take all three points from this crucial Champions League encounter.

I've dug a little deeper than that in search of value and I have unearthed an odds-against price that is worth getting on board with ahead of Tuesday's tussle at Old Trafford.

United have led at half-time in each of their last three domestic victories and the even money quote offered up for Van Gaal's men to repeat the feat against the Russians is most certainly tempting.

However, fortune often favours the brave and, so, I'm not only going to side with United to lead at half-time, but trust them to be leading at full-time too.

Manchester United may have been painfully shot-shy recently, but they seem to find their best form on Champions League nights at Old Trafford and I'm expecting more of the same in Manchester when CSKA are the visitors.

Manchester United to lead at half-time and full-time at 10/7 (888) is the recommended bet here.
