Arnold Palmer Invitational | Thursday – Sunday | Sky Sports

The Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill in Orlando, features the top five players in the world this week and has been a traditional part of the Masters warm up for some time now.

A classical par 72, this course demands length off the tee and, just as important, the ability to scramble from the sometimes penal rough. Ball striking plays a big part here, so someone like Henrik Stenson who is in great form right now could do very well.

Odds of 9/1 with Paddy Power are extremely tight though in a field of this quality. Had he been around 14's, I may well have gone for the big Swede this week. I certainly have him in mind for Augusta. Watch this space.

I tipped Keegan Bradley a few weeks ago and only a fairly poor back 9 prevented us getting paid out. Keegan loves the tougher courses and three Top 3 finishes here, including a runner up to Matt Every in 2014, means I cannot resist him once again.

33/1 seems a very fair price for an each way punter like myself and I also like the 7/2 odds with BetVictor on a Top 10 finish.

Sean O'Hair seemed to come back from the dead when he ran Jordan Speith very close last week, but has actually been playing well for some time now. I do like a player in good form and 9/4 for a Top 20 finish looks very attractive with BetVictor.

The world number 16 Hideki Matsuyama is another who comes here having a great 2015. Five Top 10 finishes recently prove that, and he has form on these long tough courses. Always a player to keep an eye on, odds of 35/1 with Coral put him on this week's list.

Rory McIllroy is a player I never seem to call right, but to be honest I never really forgave him for his Masters collapse in 2011 when I was sitting on a lovely 50/1 bet. It's personal between me and Rory.

To be fair he's not in great form right now, but is a player that can explode at any time. Ignore the Irishman at your peril, but I've never backed a 9/2 shot on the PGA and it is unlikely I ever would.

Sunday night coming down the stretch, Keegan will be clear with Matsuyama chasing ….. That's how I dreamt it last night anyway.
