THE closing race on Thursday is for amateur riders. Thankfully The Voice Of Value (@TheVoiceOfValue) is no amateur punter.

Cheltenham 16:40 | Kim Muir Chase | Channel 4

This is a great race to finish the day with plenty of old names like Across The Bay and Vintage Star returning to do battle with some younger horses who are on the way up.

The handicap is quite tightly packed in this one with just over a stone separating the whole field and I have gone for two nearer the top of the handicap, both of whom appear to be improving and have scope to improve again and win today.

I'm a big fan of Clondaw Knight. He's been in great form recently and promises to offer more in the future. This would be a fabulous win for trainer Lucinda Russell if he could do the business.

Masters Hill also attracts me. He enjoyed a good recent win at Exeter after close second placed finishes on his previous two starts and although he has gone up a few pounds as a result he remains an improving horse. I must say I was surprised that double figure prices are available on a horse who is sure to give you a run for your money and looks like good each way value.
