Lyon v Reims | Thursday 20.00 | BT Sport 1

Lyon suffered a humbling 3-0 defeat at bitter rivals St Etienne on Sunday night. It was their first loss in 16 games against Les Verts and marked their worst result of the season.

Les Gones will be keen to return to winning ways and Hubert Fournier’s side have been impressive on home soil this season. Lyon have won their last six league games at the Stade Gerland – their best run of Ligue 1 form in front of their home fans since 2008!

Lyon have been averaging three goals-per-game in their eight home league games and have notched at least twice in six of those outings. Five of their seven outings at the Gerland have also seen Over 2.5 Goals backers collect.

Reims have recorded from a torrid start to the season and arrive on the back of an unbeaten run of seven games, winning four. Jean-Luc Vasseur’s charges have netted in all bar one of those seven fixtures whilst collecting a point from their last three road trips in Ligue 1.

But Reims’ away form isn’t anything to write home about. Looking further back, the visitors have been beaten in 9/13 matches on their travels although they have notched in five of their seven away in 2014/15.

With the hosts too short to consider, we can find a bigger-priced alternative by backing Lyon to win and Over 2.5 Goals at 11/8 with Betfair. With this selection we get to cover anything from a 3-0 home success to a 2-1 Lyon victory.
